Abdelrahman Kubisi is a character artist. He made realistic 3D portraits and is now at MPC London, United Kingdom. Abdelrahman Kubisi is a freelance artist from Egypt living in Kuwait. He graduated from Helwan University, Egypt. with a BFA of Art Education in 2010.
Abdelrahman Kubisi had one of the Patreons for Character Artists and he recently shut it down. However, he produced amazing Scarlett Johansson at Texturing.xyz with Jeremy Celeste. He documents his work from 205 and improved in 2018. He works on an unending improvement, as though he lives the constant motto.
It is inspiring and he creates realistic models using Zbrush. All his work is realistic and the male sculpt he created was presented with a YouTube tutorial videos to reveal his tricks and techniques that he used to create the wrinkles and skin texture, the eyelashes hair and the eyebrows, the clothes zipper, stitches, textile, and buttons, fibermesh stuff such as peachfuzz and goatee. He shares the photos from the zbrush inside to know the different angles before others try doing posing and clothes before completing. The breakdown of some stuff was for the Male Human realistic sculpts. He just plays with the intensity and the size of the standard brush and gets all types of wrinkles.
Abdelrahman Kubisi makes his subject appealing. He gives character and life to his creation. This makes his artwork appealing. He says face is the main attraction for anyone and it is the one taking time to sculpt. He says one cannot cheat with face because human beings can easily recognize the face that is not looking natural. It is one of the reasons that his artwork is intriguing. He uses tools and brushes to create a male model with Zbrush. The Formsoft small size is used for the veins and the standard brush for the wrinkles. He also uses Formsoft for the wrinkles and in between skin to look like drawn on a surface. He uses Zbrush for stitches and jacket.
Abdelrahman Kubisi strongly believes in learning anatomy to make a successful portrait. Learning a face is not about the muscles or fat, but it is the skull that he concentrates. He says the skull works as the actual armature and sculpting the portrait requires keeping it underneath each creation to get the actual natural looking face. He asks people to learn about the skull, and to follow it with muscles, fat, and skin.
Abdelrahman Kubisi creates portraits with great attention to the furrows, the features and its distances from the face of a person. Bearing in mind the inner eye corners is also of importance is his point and he also recommends bearing in mind to retain the width of a third eye in between the two eyebrows to get the natural shape of a face. He says most people draw the skull like a box and the face appears to be placed flat on the box. Instead, Abdelrahman Kubisi asks to see a face from the skull top, appreciate the roundness of the skull corners and to depict the same in a portrait. It will ensure perfection.
