Diego Hernandez, born in 1984 is based in Mexico. He started taking photos right from the age of 18. His work begins from drawing, grapsing graphic techniques and the expansion in space allows creating other languages. He carried out his Photo Manipulation works in a series where he included various materials such as photographs, stamps, or postcards. Here he gives rise to original images and recreates it many times.
Diego Hernandez loved the Photoshop editing right from the young age and he started creating the incredible and unimaginable worlds. He was the person to learn new things all by himself and became a self-taught artist. After 3 years he started creating 3D drawing and images. It helped a lot in his images creation as the images were defined by a unique visual story and vibrant color that it is certain to blow the viewers mind.
Diego Hernandez creates photography and also the surreal landscapes and scenes through digital art. Inspired by the unimaginable to life, his work adds enchanting energy and dreamy vibes to your space. His thoughts are spontaneous and are free of restrictions. The element that is common throughout his art is the light. He has a fascination for the light and its effects. The way light creates colors and shadows that he wished to explore the light nuances and its medium to react to varying surfaces. He believes light is powerful and overlooked often. It is everything as light creates depth, color, and mood. Having an eye for art and its creativity is visually stimulating.
He had individual exhibitions at the GRIS Galería, Galería 12:00, Museo la Tertulia, the Universidad de Los Andes and the Casa Proartes. Hernandez has participated in different cities group exhibitions of Colombia and in countries such as Spain, France and the United States. Hernández, is the recipient of various awards and to name a few are the National Internship Scholarship held at the National University of Colombia and he was awarded in 2015 by the Ministry of Culture.
In 2016, Hernandez was nominated at the Bogotá Art Fair, ArtBo for the Oma Art Award; in 2017 he was for the Sara Modiano Award as a finalist. In 2018 he became the winner of the nomination in Colombia for the Latin America Award granted by Art-Nexus magazine, EFG Bank and Arte en Colombia and in Bogotá within the framework of the international art fair. In 2019 he also took participation in the 45th National Artists Salon (the reverse of the plot) as part of the curatorship “Counterinformation” of the TRansHis Tor Team (ia). Diego Hernandez is now working for Fair Play Labs as Art Director. It is located in Costa Rica.
