A self-taught artist, a freelancer is Rishika, hailing from Jaipur, the Pink city of India. From her childhood, she explored the life of women and the variation in cultures. Her vision is clear and through her oil painting she introduces various section of the society.
Rishika Sharma represents the culture and our nation through her artworks. She believes in creating a huge impact on the society and there are no language barriers. She is drawing since her childhood, she likes sketching and it became her passion. Her father wanted her to become a doctor, but she knew she was not for the medical field. After school, she picked up to sketching and in her graduation 2 nd year as a science student, found that her passion for painting is very much alive.
Talents are natural abilities and it is important to bring it out with determination, hard work, and perseverance. She made sketches of teachers and friends and began developing her skills. She tries to develop her skills all by herself to reach to professionalism. She is fascinated by diverse facial expressions and the way they reflect countless emotions.
She started focusing on portrait sketching and worked 7-8 hours on each. Drawing realistic facial features is not easy. Later she made paintings on social issues and developed her imagination. She worked in all mediums such as charcoal or graphite pencil, acrylics and oil painting. She learnt practice is the key to master an art.
Her success mantra is to learn from mistakes and to believe in self. Success is a process that will teach you many things as a process and by the time you enhance the potential it will happen. She faced a lot of hardships where she had to complete within few hours sketches on oil painting. Some did not pay. She set failures and setbacks on her way as the stepping stones to success and pursued her passion.
She advices all beginner artist to strengthen yourself and she finds sketching helps nurturing your brain different areas. It also helps in paying attention and focus. It boosts creativity and promotes endless thinking. For Rishika her biggest influence is her Mother who taught her values such as sincerity, integrity, and honesty.
